The Molineux side have had two bids for Iron hotshot Billy Sharp rejected, while they are also chasing Southend's Freddy Eastwood and Burnley's Kyle Lafferty.

Scouse businessman's buyout of the club has been complicated by legal technicalities, but Moxey says it is not affecting Mick McCarthy's team-building.

"The delay is not holding up our summer recruitment plans, as demonstrated by the signing of Matt Jarvis from Gillingham this week," he said.

"Both Sir Jack and Steve have given us the go ahead to pursue the players the manager has identified."
