Martin Carruthers
The 32-year-old journeyman striker spent two full seasons at Glanford Park scoring 39 goals in 100 appearances.

He shocked Iron fans though in Summer 2003 when he went back on a verbal agreement to sign a new deal and opted for a two-year contract at Macclesfield Town instead.

That move didn't work out though and after a year at Moss Rose he moved to Boston, and since signed for Lincoln wthout really impressing. He then went to Cambridge on loan in February.

Joining Carruthers out of the Sincil Bank exit door are Michael Blackwood, Chris Cornelly, Ritchie Hanlon, Adam Kerley, Ciaran Toner and, surprisingly, second top scorer Gary Taylor-Fletcher.

23-goal Simon Yeo has left to join New Zealand side Auckland Knights, and a number of other players are yet to agree new deals.

Peter Gain, Richard Butcher and Ben Futcher are all attracting interest from bigger clubs.
