Carruthers set for Cambridge switch

He started the season at Boston United, but moved to Lincoln on a free transfer after finding first team opportunities at the Pilgrims limited.

But he hasn't solved the Imps' goalscoring problems, and will join Cambridge on loan if he proves he is fully fit after a hamstring strain.

Us boss Steve Thompson said: "If everything is all right we'll be signing him on loan. He's a proven goalscorer and that's what we need."
