On 35 minutes Ian Clark was felled in the box by Mark Jackson, the former Hartlepool United winger picked himself up to score from 12 yards.

United had previously enjoyed their best effort through a Peter Beagrie free-kick, where he had hit the woodwork from 30 yards out.
