Tony Daws has tasted victory as caretaker manager of Scunthorpe United, with the reserve team defeating Middlesbrough 2-0.
Daws was put in charge of the Iron's first-team on Wednesday morning, was in charge at in his role as reserve and youth coach.
Matt Godden and Rory Coleman scored the goals for the Iron's second string.
Coleman opened the scoring after seven minutes with a free-kick which was deflected past Connor Ripley.
Godden turned home a corner from Coleman just before half-time to seal the win.
