The images below were taken on May 2 1988, the penultimate game played at the Old Showground and the last 'regular' match there. 6,736 people watched a 1-1 draw with Exeter City, with Duncan Shearer scoring United's goal.
United's last ever game at the Old Showground came two weeks later, a 1-1 draw with Torquay in the Fourth Division play-off semi-final second-leg. It meant a 3-2 aggregate defeat, and a disappointing end to the era at the OSG.
