Laws was also fuming over referee Peter Walton's refusal to award them an early penalty.

He said: "For the first 15 minutes we looked as if we were going to win but the turning down of the penalty appeal was the turning point.

"This was a real end of season performance and it was not good enough, it was a sub-standard performance."

Harriers boss Jan Molby commented: "We gave a professional performance, we defended deeply and they never gave us any worries, although we didn't play particularly well."
