When the offers were made by the club last week the players were given today as a deadline.

All have accepted one year deals, with the option of a further one year extension.

Peter Beagrie however has asked for more time, he only accepted his current contract on the understanding he was free to do more TV work.

He is als believed to be looking for a way into management, and could ask for a clause to be included which would allow him a free transfer if offered a player-manager job elsewhere.

Iron manager Brian Laws said: "I'm pleased that the players have committed themselves to Scunthorpe United.

"Peter Beagrie has just asked for more time and he will let me know early next week."
