Bournmeouth turn down Iron offers

Eddie Mitchell, the Bournemouth chairman, claimed the Iron offered £100,000 for defender Pearce and £50,000 for midfielder Bartley.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, Mitchell described the offers as "derisory"

"We don't need the cash at the moment and want to build on what we have got. That must show the strength of the cash flow at the club to a degree. Nobody else is leaving before the end of the season. End of story," he said.

For all the talk of not letting players go, the Cherries did release manager Eddie Howe to Burnley. Lee Bradbury is in caretaker charge at Dean Court.

Ian Baraclough, the Iron manager, has tried to keep transfer targets out of the press but has seen his interest in several players - including the Kilmarnock forward Conor Sammon - leaked by their clubs.
