Canaries Pato bid rejected

The Northern Ireland international has netted 11 times for the Iron this season, after joining from Stoke City in the summer.

Paterson was out of contract at the Potteries, with a Football League tribunal setting the fee at £425,000 after the two clubs could not agree a price.

Iron chairman Steve Wharton has insisted that the 20-year-old forward is not for sale.

Boss Nigel Adkins is currently looking to add to his strikeforce rather than deplete it, with a move for Geoff Horsfield apparently breaking down and an approach for Coventry's Dele Adebola also in the pipeline.
