Chelsea Barsby Campaign

It sees the third annual Chelsea Barsby Campaign bike ride, which will see
nearly 20 Stags fans cycle the 53 miles from Field Mill to Glanford Park.

The campaign was launched to help raise funds for children with eye cancer,
and is named after the six-year-old daughter of one of the fundraisers.

Chelsea was born with eye cancer in both eyes, and has just 20 per cent
vision out of one working eye.

She will be Mansfield's mascot for the match, with a bucket collection to
raise funds. A similar day at Doncaster Rovers last season raised £5,000.

Graham Bard, trustee of the campaign, told iron-Bru.net: "This year we hope
to raise at least £3,500 for special equipment Chelsea will need at school
as well as helping other kids in her position.

"Saturday will be a big game for us all and a massive day for Chelsea. It's
times like these that I witness football fans showing who they really are
and realising that there are bigger things in life than three points at the
end of a game.

"If you can find some spare cash to throw in a bucket as one of the
collectors passes by please do, if you cannot manage that, then please show
your appreciation for the riders who will have been in the saddle for at
least four hours on their way through Tuxford, Gainsborough and Scunthorpe.

"And if you can also make some serious noise in support of Chelsea when she
is on the pitch and her name is announced that would be fantastic too."
