Former Iron captain Mark Jackson has warned that he is prepared to leave Glanford Park in order to play first team football.

The former Leeds defender, who was club captain last season as United were dragged into a relegation fight, has held talks with manager Brian Laws over his future at the club.

Kiddermister Harriers have been linked with a move for the player, who played in the Premiership at Leeds under George Graham who arrived at Glanford Park four years ago.

First-team chances have been limited this season, with his only start coming in the LDV Vans Trophy First round defeat at Hereford last week.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "If the right offer came along I would have to seriously consider it.

"I love this club to pieces and I don't want to leave. I hope to be given a chance here. But if the manager thinks a move will be good for me I'll have to consider it."
