Fans fail to catch fever

The Iron have so far sold a disappointing 435 tickets for Saturday's first round tie against Northwich Victoria which means it looks as though the club will be returning nearly two thirds of its allocation.

As long as the Iron avoid the embarassment of a giantkilling on Saturday they will recieve 20,000 from the Football Association in prize money plus a cut of the gate.

Northwich have been getting average gates of around 600 at their temporary home Wincham Park, but they are hoping for over 1000 for Saturday's clash.
