Going to...Rochdale

Last updated : 20 October 2002 By Patrick Hill
All eyes will be fixed firmly on Lee Hodges tomorrow as the Iron travel to Spotland.

The former fans favourite may have left Glanford Park a little overweight but apparently has been undergoing an intensive fitness course for the past two months and now looks lean, mean and hungry! (The same as when he left then, just lean and mean as well now).

Hodges is expected to make his first full start since Rochdale's visit to Sincil bank over two months ago.

Is'nt it a strange coincidence that Hodges is returning just as the Iron roll into town? Erm no we did'nt think so either!

The form book reads,
Scunthorpe DWWDWL
Rochdale DWDWDL

Rochdale have been playing quite well at home recently, winning 3, drawing 2, and losing just 1. Their recent form suggests a few goals could be scored as they have scored a total of 11 goals in those games but also conceded eight.

Going into the game Dale are sitting pretty in the third division table, 5th infact, having taken 22 points from 13 games.

Ref Watch: Tomorrow's referee is Iain Williamson from Berkshire. Predictably as its our very first ref watch we have no information at all about Mr Williamson other than tomorrow will be his first ever match with the whistle in the Football League.
