Grimsby fined for poor discipline

Their indiscipline cost them dear, as United capitalised to win 2-0 thanks to a Paul Hayes brace.

The Cods collected six yellow cards, as well as a red one shown to loanee Jon Daly.

It means the cross a threshold for an automatic fine for the club, who have dropped their appeal against Daly's red card.

Cods chief executive Ian Fleming said: "The club has reviewed the tape of the game numerous times, and based on impartial assessment of the incident the club feels it is not in its best interests to pursue our claim for wrongful dismissal."
