The club have come under criticism both on line and on air via BBC Radio Humberside, particularly when the "bring a friend for half price" scheme seemed to fail as just over 4,300 turned up for the Southend game on Tuesday night.

Hammond said the club are doing everything they can to bring back supporters.

He told Iron-Bru.net: "We're currently targeting new fans via the Study United and Football in the Community Programs.

"In addition, we provide tickets to local boys football clubs trying to attract new and additional supporters.

"Recently we offered season ticket holders the opportunity to bring a guest with them for half price. I am sure you (the fans) are aware we also run kids go free and coupon collect promotions for children also."

The answers to the "Supporter Satisfaction" survey are also on the way. The results will be published in one of the forthcoming matchday magazines, and then online.

Hammond also confirmed that Carlotti will remain as kit suppliers next season.
