Hodges joins Rochdale

Hodges has joined the Spotland outfit, putting pen to paper this afternoon.

Dale manager Paul Simpson has convinced Hodges to sign a two year contract, after a switch to first division Grimsby Town were unable to meet his wage demands.

"It is a relief to finally sign for Rochdale, as it has taken slighter longer than I would have hoped for. But I am here now, and just looking forward to start playing again," he told Dale's Official website.

When asked about his time with the IIron the official Dale website also quotes Super Lee as saying, "I don't have a bad word to say about the club."

The full interview will be published tomorrow on Rochdalefc.co.uk, and we will publish any relevant comments and re-action later in the day.

Meanwhile another ex-Iron looks set to find himself a new club.

Carl Bradshaw, who disappointed in his single season at Glanford Park, looks set to join South Cumbrian outfit Barrow AFC.

The move has been instigated by Lee Turnbull, assistant manager to the Bluebirds as well as Football In The Community Officer at Glanny Park.

He'll join fellow Ex-Irons Steve Housham, Wayne Bullimore and Nigel Pepper at Holker Street.

Iron-Bru.net travelled to Lancaster back in January to check on the progress of Housh and Bullimore in their top of the table derby - you can read our review of the night here.

We will be following the fortunes of all the former Irons up in Cumbria, including at least one trip to see them in action, and will of course bring you all the latest throughout the season.
