Scunthorpe had three bids rejected, but an undisclosed fourth offer was "reluctantly accepted" on Wednesday morning.

He has signed a two-year contract at Glanford Park, with the club having an option to extend it to by a further 12 months.

The French player, 24, previously worked with the current Iron manager Alan Knill when he was at Gigg Lane.

He moved to the Shakers in August 2010, having spent that summer playing for the Iranian side Taribt Yazd.

He began his career in France with Nancy, but did not make a first-team appearance before moving to Chester in 2008.
