Iron open contract talks with trio

The trio all have a year to run on their current deals, but United want to sort out their long-term future as soon as possible.

Left-back Williams is currently 21, and United would be guaranteed a transfer fee.

But Sparrow and Taylor are both 23, and would be entitled to leave on a Bosman free transfer next summer when they reach 24.

"We've had initial conversations with their agents, as we need to make sure the good players at our club are not going to leave on a Bosman," Iron manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Humberside.
