Iron sign Stockport captain Raynes

Raynes, 22, was captain at Edgley Park and was the Iron's third new arrival of the transfer window following the loan signings of Donal McDermott and Brendan Moloney.

Raynes has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with details of the fee not released. The move was completed only minutes before the 5pm deadline for permanent transfers.

There was also one player exiting Glanford Park on transfer dealdine day, with winger Peter Winn joining Blue Square Premier side Gateshead on loan until the end of the season.
