Iron unchanged for Cambridge trip

Injury doubt
United are five points ahead of second bottom club Carlisle going into this weekend's game, and a point would keep them three points ahead of the Cumbrians should they beat Cheltenham at Brunton Park.

Because of the Iron's goal difference that would secure league survival.

If Carlisle fail to win tomorrow then United will be safe irrespective of the result at Cambridge.

York City will be officially relegated if they fail to win.

Iron manager Brian Laws is likely to name the same starting XI that beat Macclesfield 1-0 last week, with left-back Kevin Sharp the only doubt.

But he is expected to keep his place in the side, while Basque midfielder Alex Calvo-Garcia is likely to come off the bench at some point in his penultimate game for the club.

Cambridge also need a point to keep them safe from relegation, and also have no new injury worries.

New manager Claude Le Roy is set to meet with Us chairman Claude Le Roy over the weekend to discuss his future with the club.

What could be decided this weekend:

Scunthorpe win: United will be safe regardless of results elsewhere.

Scunthorpe draw: United will be safe if Carlisle fail to win. If Carlisle win they would be three points behind Scunthorpe but it would take a freak set of results on the final day for Carlisle to catch Scunthorpe's goal difference.

Scunthorpe lose: If Carlisle beat Cheltenham then it will go to the final game of the season as the Cumbrians would be two points behind United. If Carlisle fail to win then United are safe.
