Ian Kilford and Lee Ridley have accepted one year deals to stay with the club, leaving Beags, Stanton and Carruthers as the only players yet to give a decision on their future.

Right-back Stanton has been offered a three year deal, while Beags and Carruthers are considering one year deals with reduced terms.

Macclesfield Town have declared an interest in Carruthers, and their manager David Moss was hoping to meet with the player this week.

United have already secured the signing of Cliff Byrne for next season, with the club also in talks with another player whose identity has not yet been revealed.

Manager Brian Laws has spoken to a couple of other players about moves to the club, but would cool his interest if all three undecided players agree to stay with the Iron.

Laws said: "I want a decision though from all the players by the end of the week because I want to know if I have to look for replacements."
