The 24-year-old player is out of contract - and is believed to be talking to a couple of other clubs this week, according to the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph.
"I am sure that there are other clubs out there who can offer him more money. But it is not always all about money," said Adkins.
"Andy has been at this club for a long time, he is settled here and knows he is a big favourite of the fans."
