First Division Burnley, who recorded a 4-0 win over Bradford City yesterday, travel to Glanford Park on Tuesday night for the Carling Cup first round clash.

Captain Jackson will miss the game, while veteran winger Peter Beagrie will also have to sit out with a niggling injury.

Iron manager Brian Laws said "Jacko's gone over on his ankle, we'll have to wait and see but I would summise that he'll definately be out for Tuesday and possibly Saturday so we'll have to have a look at that.

"He's picking up little injuries at the moment that are hindering him but that's given us an opportunity to give Butler his debut and I thought he was terrific. The kid was superb and it didn't faze him at all.

"Peter has had a little run around today but he is still not right. Maybe in seven days time he might be somewhere near but at the moment he's got a long way to go."
