"Kell looking fit and strong" - Laws

Kell is still trying to secure himself a contract at Glanford Park for next season. He looked highly impressive during the Iron's Lincolnshire Cup tie away at Boston on Saturday scoring the winning goal with a low drive in the 73rd minute and Laws is obviously impressed with the Ex-Middlesborough man.

"Richard ran the show against Boston, he looks fit and he looks strong and that's credit to him for the hard work he's put in this summer. He's had his pin out and he's running freely and there's some very encouraging signs so far, but its still early days".

"He's pushing towards a place in the first team and he certainly outshone anyone on the field on Saturday".

"If Richard can show the form he did before his injury than he's got a very good chance and we'll only be too pleased to keep him".

"We missed him after his injury and he took a long time to replace. He's an asset to this football club and if he comes back as he was than we've got real quality in the midfield because he's the engine room".

"Finger's crossed he does that. Richard Kell is certainly in my mind at the moment".
