Laws: A job well done

Two goals from on-loan Steve MacLean, his first in three months after injury and a dip in form, along with a goal from Darren Holloway sealed United's second win in three games.

Understandably it was the exploits of the four loan players in the side which attracted Laws' praise - Loan Ranger MacLean, Holloway, Paul Groves and Cleveland Taylor.

He said: "We've got Steve scoring again and I can see more coming from him now, it will act as a spur to the whole team.

"The difference was in the centre of midfield with our two new loan signings - Paul Groves and Darren Holloway.

"They have the experience we have badly needed this season, they get the ball down and make us play.

"After two successive postponements because of the weather when teams around us gained ground this was a result we needed.

"We gave a professional and solid display against a good Yeovil side and it was a job well done."

Yeovil's boss Gary Johnson commented: "We never got going today and we only had a makeshift side, there were no crumbs of comfort from today's game and we have a lot of work to do."
