Laws happy despite derby defeat

Two first-half goals from Ben Burgess were enough to seal the win for the home side, with on-loan striker Steve MacLean did pull one back to ensure a tense final few minutes.

Laws said: "It was a hard fought local derby and with a bit more luck we would have got something out of the game.

"It was very much a game of two halves - in the first we allowed Ben Burgess to rule our defence but in the second we were much better.

"We did well to get a goal back and we knew that would unsettle them, but we just could not find the equaliser that our play deserved."
