The pair agreed non-contract terms on Tuesday, and made their debuts in the 4-3 Carling Cup win over Lincoln that evening.

And with Laws in need of a larger squad, both look likely to be asked to stay with the club.

Foy is a 21-year-old winger who was released by Liverpool in the summer, while Paul is a 19-year-old striker who was let go by Aston Villa. Paul scored during the win over the Imps.

"At the moment we're looking at keeping them,” Laws told PA Sport.

"They'e signed short-term contracts with a view to getting full-time deals.

"They've done really well and I'm pleased with both of them so far, but I need to see a little more of them before we can consider sorting something long-term with them."
