Torps: Violent Conduct ended his match
Torps was red carded for violent conduct early doors in the second half, and will now serve an automatic one match suspension which will come into effect during the club's vital playoff clashes at the end of the season.

"I did see the incident," said Laws in the post match press conference, " for me it was a needless challenge and if I was the referee or linesman I' d have done the same.

"I thought the referee got his decision right, although it wasn't dangerous the intent was there.

"We spoke before the game, and I'm very very disappointed with him.

"I'm not going to stand and protect the player when i feel he got what he deserved."
Lawsy also stated that Torps is likley to be docked wages by the club.

"I'll look at the video very closely," he said.

The loss of Steve Torpey meant the remaining ten players had to double their efforts just to ensure a point.

"I thought they were brilliant to be fair, under the circumstances," stated Laws.

"The pitch is dry, its bobbling all over the place and the wind didn't help.

"They had to dig in really deep and use every resource possible to get away from here with a point.

"We've got to look at it as a point gained more than anything else, it just makes our game against Rushden And Diamonds huge."
