The draw for the first round of the competition, which was won by Wrexham last season, will be made live on Sky Sports' Soccer AM show on Saturday morning.

It will begin at approximately 9.30am, and is split into northern and southern sections.

Last season the Iron went out at the first hurdle, after fielding a reserve team at Conference side Hereford (who were, bizarrely, in the northern section).

A draw on Wednesday at the Football League operations centre handed out two byes for each section.

Bradford and Port Vale go straight through to the second round of the northern section, with Colchester and Walsall handed byes in the southern section.

Northern section (League): Barnsley, Blackpool, Boston, Bury, Carlisle, Chester, Chesterfield, Darlington, Doncaster, Grimsby, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Lincoln, Macclesfield, Mansfield, Oldham, Rochdale, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Stockport, Tranmere, Wrexham.
