Lillis, 23, has been on loan at Spotland since the start of the season. He made a total of 28 competitive appearances for the League One side.
The Iron had a 24-hour recall clause as part of the deal to extend his loan into 2011, and they have recalled that with first-choice keeper Joe Murphy suffering an ankle injury.
