A pitch inspection carried out at Glanford Park this morning revealed areas of the pitch at the problematic Railway End of ground were frozen.

With more snow also predicted, the Iron took the decision to call the game off early- taking into account Porstmouth were travelling to North Lincolnshire on Friday.

"With temperatures not expected to rise above freezing between now and Saturday afternoon, and with more snow expected, the decision was taken to postpone the game to avoid a wasted trip for Portsmouth's players, staff and supporters," said a statement on the Iron's website.
