Sharp move may take time

United have been chasing the forward for some time now, and after having a bid for the forward accepted, Laws was hoping to have completed the deal by Friday but he now accepts the frontman needs time to make a decision on his future.

Laws told United's official website: "Sharp will not be in for Saturday.

"He is a player we have kept an eye on for a long time. We have spoken to Sheffield United about bringing him in on a permanent basis and it is about getting the player to agree.

"It is not a quick process the player has to think things over and we have to be patient with him."
