Greg Strong, who joined United on a months loan from Hull City earlier this week, will make his Iron debut at the expense of Lee Ridley who will drop to the bench.
Iron manager Brian Laws is confident that United can pick up three points from their trip to Abbey Stadium.
He said: "They score lots of goals, but they also concede goals. It should be a cracking game to watch and I'll be very surprised if it is 0-0.
"The pressure is always on the home team to win and we will be looking to capitalise on that."
