Warning for ticketless fans

United sold out their 2,000 allocation of tickets quickly, and with United able to seal promotion - or even the League Two title - with a point, thousands more Iron fans are desperate to be there.

But Shrewsbury have asked ticketless fans not to travel, and for Iron fans to keep off the pitch at the final whistle - so that if there is a promotion to be celebrating, the players are able to stay on the pitch and enjoy the moment.

Shrewsbury's police liason officer Alan Roberts told Iron-Bru.net: "The fixture is all ticket to Scunthorpe fans, and I'm asking fans without tickets not to travel.

"With regard to the pitch invasion i am requesting that one doesn't take place regardless of the result.

"I have made the same plea on the shrewsbury Blue and Amber website.

"This is so that both sets of fans can show their appreciation of their teams, with the players on the pitch, and if you have a reason to celebrate the players will be able to come your part of the ground at the final whistle.

"I hope that everyone can enjoy the day."
