Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso did not suffer a broken rib during Monday night's loss to Scunthorpe, and could return for the Robins this weekend.
The Brazilian clashed with United's Jermaine Beckford in the closing stages of the match at Glanford Park, when the on-loan striker lost his footing. He played on despite being in clear discomfort, with the Robins unable to replace him having used all three of their permitted substitutions.
But an x-ray revealed he has not broken a rib, as initially feared, and will play against Huddersfield on Saturday.
"At the time I thought it was serious because I was in a lot of pain and I was finding it hard to breathe," the 31-year-old revealed.
"But it is a lot better now and hopefully I will be okay for the weekend."
