Bournemouth fans vote on ground sale

The proposals will raise funds allowing the club to pay off debt, with chairman Peter Phillips warning that the club could go into receivership if the plan is not backed.

The Community Mutual Trust holds 51 per cent of voting rights, with each of their 2,5000 members given an equal share.

CM chairman John Lewis said: "We believe this is the first time in UK football that fans have been given such a major say over the direction their club takes.

"We all have a big responsibility to take part in the process to decide our future."
