George Burley has become the first Championship manager to be sacked in 2011, with Crystal Palace calling time on his reign after a 3-0 loss to Millwall on New Year's Day.
The defeat, thanks to a hat-trick from Jason Puncheon, ensured the Eagles remained in the relegation zone.
Dougie Freedman, Burley's assistant, has been put in charge in a caretaker capacity: his first game will be against another temporary manager, against David Unsworth's Preston North End on Monday.
