Thompson said: "I don't think it is a worry because it is just a situation people have to get on with.
"These things occur in football and a few other clubs will probably be in the same, or very similar, position. In the meantime we have a job to do.
"The game has changed and players are signed on shorter contracts now anyway.
"The takeover seems to be moving along and I think when that is sorted out then the picture will become a little clearer."
