Huddersfield plan move for Russell

First choice goale Ian Gray is out with a finger injury, and manager Peter Jackson is lacking cover for reserve goalie Phil Senior who has been thrust into the first team.

Jackson said: "We need cover for Phil while Ian recuperates and this kid could prove that.

"I will assess him in the reserves on Wednesday night and make a decision from there."

Russell spent three months on loan at Glanford Park earlier in the season, dislodging Tommy Evans from the number one jersey, and spent time with Darlington last season.
