Hull to unveil Okocha signing

The 34-year-old former Bolton Wanderers midfielder watched Monday night's defeat at Blackpool from the Bloomfield Road stands.

"I think he is the sort of player who will give us the creativity we need in midfield," said manager Phil Brown.

Okocha has been playing in the Middle East for Qatar SC since leaving Bolton last summer.

Hull record-signing Caleb Folan spent Monday night in hospital after being knocked out during the loss to the Seasiders, his debut for the club.

Folan joined the Tigers in a £1million deal last Friday but was out cold after a clash of heads with Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss midway through the second-half at Bloomfield Road.

"The injury certainly upset the flow of our team," admitted Brown.

"I thought Caleb was performing as well as I've seen for a debut. But it was a serious collision and he was unconscious for a number of minutes.

"He was conscious and talking as he came off, which was a good sign."
