The 35-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the club, scoring twice in 81 appearances.
He played a key part in the Dons' League Two title-winning campaign this season, although he missed the last few games of the season with a shoulder injury.
Before joining the Dons, Diallo played for Burnley, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday.
