N'Gotty, 37, who had to be stretchered from the pitch, is belieived to have ruptured his Achilles when trying to cut out a cross in the early exchanges at London Road.
N'Gotty is currently on loan at Edgar Street from fellow League One side Leicester City.
"It's a really serious injury. It could keep him out of the game for quite a long time and, at his age, maybe even for the rest of the season," said Turner
