Everyone affected has been given time off to recover, though which Canaries players were hit by the bug have not been named.

An outside contractor provided the food for the event, which was held at the club's training ground.

"All of the employees affected have been given time off from work and training," said a spokesman.

"The club has contacted the environmental health department of South Norfolk District Council and is awaiting more information from them."
