Rovers excited by Kuffour capture

The 26-year-old is poised to join the Pirates in a £60,000 deal next week, having scored 14 goals in his one season with the Cherries.

"Jo has attributes we have identified that would complement the players we have already got in the squad and he can also do bits and pieces on his own," Trollope told the Evening Post.

"For the last three years we have probably lacked someone who could produce a little bit of magic in the final third to get a goal out of nothing.

"We have watched and researched him thoroughly and he has a good record of goalscoring wherever he has been.

"He has sharpness and pace, but gets in clever positions as well because his movement is very good."

Kuffour may struggle to get in the Rovers side, however, after they put six past Hereford United on Saturday.
