Rush takes award

Rush, who took charge at the Deva Stadium in August following the controversial departure of Mark Wright, has steered City to mid-table after finding them rooted to the bottom on his arrival.

He has performed so well that he held talks with the FAW last week about becoming the next manager of Wales, but chose instead to continue learning his trade in the domestic game with the club where he started his playing career.

Bradford boss Colin Todd has been named League One player of the month, while Paul Jewell takes the honour for the Championship.
