Southend boss plays down promotion talk

The 4-1 victory over local rivals Brentford on Saturday did much to raise spirits at Roots Hall and sent the Shrimpers back to the top of the league.

"It's too early to talk in terms of promotion but we are in a great position," explained Tilson.

"We are one win from keeping ourselves in this league - and then we can set a new target."
