Lawson, in the side due to Freddy Eastwood's suspension and an injury to Wayne Gray, gave the Blues an early lead when he rose highest at the far
post to head home Mitchell Cole's cross.

The youth team player has made two substitute appearances this season but
ensured his full debut would be a memorable one.

"It was really great to play and get the goal because I didn't really think I would get to start games this early on because I'm still in the youth
team," he said.

"And I was lucky with the goal as well because I am not good at headers, but
the cross came in and I directed the ball into the net so it was a lucky one really."
