Swansea storm to top spot

Brentford also move down to second, after Andy Robinson's brace fired the goal crazy Swansea to the table's summit against the winless MK Dons.

The tricky winger, who helped Kenny Jackett's side to a 7-1 win over Bristol City on Saturday, grabbed two goals in the last 18 minutes after Pablo Mills had equalised Lee Trundle's opener for the visitors.

In Tuesday's other game, Barnsley soaked up early first-half pressure before hitting Gillingham with two sucker punches in quick succession at Priestfield.

Instead Barnsley broke the deadlock against the run of play through Chris Shuker on 40 minutes and two minutes later ex-Iron forward Paul Hayes doubled their lead in style.

Substitute Danny Nardiello put the result beyond doubt six minutes from time, and Barnsley now sit in eighth place.
