Walsall sign Sunderland keeper

Saddlers boss Paul Merson has recruited Murphy for a month to cover for the injured Andy Oakes with John Ruddy set to end his loan and return to Everton.

Murphy, 24, played 27 times for Walsall last season while he was a West Bromwich Albion player. The Republic of Ireland international joined Sunderland in the summer but is yet to make an appearance for them.
